Only 1 more month until our 2012 convention.  Updated registration and membership forms are now available in both online and downloadable versions.

Responsible for the programmatic behavior management services for individuals in Children’s Residential with Autism. Works collaboratively with Allan Cott School staff and Educational Services in designing, implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of plans. Conduct functional assessment methods, develop and promote behavior intervention plans, provide staff training.

Minimum Requirements: 21 years of age, MA/MS with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis. Two years exp. in the field of developmental disabilities, training in the area of behavior management, Board Certified Behavior Analyst preferred. Valid AL driver’s license and driving record acceptable to agency insurer, clearance with the Alabama Dept. of Human Resources Child Abuse/Neglect Registry, ABI/FBI Registry, the ability to acquire, perform and maintain certification in 1st Aid, CPR, MCS (Managing Crisis Safely) and Medication Assistance Certification (MAC).

All therapy sessions are conducted by a BCBA or BCaBA unless a Bachelor/Master level therapist working toward certification is requested and approved. Rates vary and are very competitive. Individual health insurance plans are available for full-time employees. Therapy sessions may be conducted in the home, at school (with administrative permission), in the community, or in any other approved location based on the child’s specific needs. We also contract with public and private schools. Weekly service recommendations shall be determined at the completion of the initial assessment. Parent training is required at least 4 hours per month in order to assure consistency with behavior plans. We are a Tricare ECHO approved provider.

ALABA T-Shirt Design & Slogan Contest

ALABA requests your assistance in designing our new T-shirt and slogan!

Guidelines and Restrictions

  • Contest open to all ALABA members (at least one designer must be an ALABA member)
  • Design/slogan must be your original, unpublished work
  • Additionally, the design should:
    • Be suitable for the front of a t-shirt
    • Use a maximum of 3 colors
    • Be a maximum of 10 in x 10 in
    • Be sent as a PDF or JPEG file (the winner may be contacted for additional formats if necessary)

Judging and Prizes

  • The top 3 designs will be selected by the ALABA Executive Committee and members will vote for their favorite design out of these 3 online until August 19, 2011
  • The winner will be announced on September 1, 2011
  • T-shirts with the winning design will be available for purchase at ALABA’s 20th Annual Convention in Birmingham on October 5-7, 2011
  • Prizes:
    • 1st place will receive a free t-shirt and 50% off 2011 ALABA membership
    • 2nd place will receive 25% off 2011 ALABA membership
    • 3rd place will receive 15% off 2011 ALABA membership
